Nonprofit Lift is a collaboration of intermediary and philanthropic organizations in the Greater Milwaukee area committed to making capacity-building services and resources more accessible to nonprofits in the region.
In 2021, we held several town hall sessions for nonprofits in the region. We began two initiatives, building off of what we learned: a consultant directory and a landing site of capacity-building resources, now known as Nonprofit Lift. We continue to collaborate on supporting this and other initiatives that aim to strengthen the capacity of nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofit Lift was founded by the Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at UW-Milwaukee, Jobs That Help, the Nonprofit Academy of Wisconsin, the Nonprofit Management Fund, Project Pivot, the Urban Economic Development Association of Wisconsin, and Create Wisconsin (formerly Arts Wisconsin).
